Our Winter Solstice Box

We are so proud to release our inaugural, Winter Solstice Box, just in time for the holidays!
Whether you’re joining us in our creative journey just with this box, or committed to creativity for the year ahead with the Snug Club’s annual subscription, we’re so excited dive into these fun activities together!
As with each of our seasonal boxes, we have carefully curated the supplies to build out a beautiful, modern wreath that you can proudly showcase on your front door, or gift to a loved one.
The Winter Solstice Wreath Project includes:
Hand selected, dried flowers in icy, deep blues, brilliant whites, and other winter hues from Hammelmans, a family-owned, sustainable farm based in Mt. Angel, Oregon.
Gorgeous, sustainably made, upcycled deep blue twine and cord from our friends at GANXXET (Use the Code SNUGCLUB at check out if you want to nab 10% off their special cord for other projects)
A gorgeous, simple hoop wreath base provided by Michaels Craft Stores
Double faced deep navy satin ribbons by Ribbon Bazaar
In addition to our wreath project, this season we’re exploring the joys of alcohol inks. A medium some might find intimidating, alcohol inks provide fluid, colorful possibilities for smooth surfaces, fabrics and even paper. We sourced our inks and the white acrylic paint that will help them pop from our friends at the MerriArtist art supply shop, right here in McMinnville, Oregon. While alcohol inks can be tricky to seal in part because water reactivates them, we’ve opted to explore this exciting medium in clear, glass ornaments that eliminate the need for sealants at all. We nabbed our ornaments from our friends at Christmas by Krebs who have a rad video on their site about how they make them here in the USA.
We’ve chosen this project specifically to help eliminate the intimidation factor of alcohol inks. If you love the process though, we can guarantee you’ll love the other possibilities of the medium. There is no end to their potential!
For both of these projects, to help amp up the creative juices, we’ve also included our first Snug Club C/Mocktail - The Winterberry Spice.
